The latest episode in the COVID Reality video series follows myself and co-founder Emily Townsend as we strive to navigate our way through the pandemic. The episode highlights the shock faced by so many business owners of being stopped in your tracks when your business appears to be flourishing by circumstances beyond your control, and the need to face these challenges head on.
We also get to see updates from small-business owners based at our eCommerce hub that we have met in previous episodes. And it is not all gloom and doom. Alcmena, a cloth nappy business, has sold out of their products, Snack Proud, a snack company for corporate offices, saw orders increase over the Easter period, and Floraly, an online florist, has had a significant increase in sales.
With lockdown restrictions easing in the past few weeks, we have seen a major turnaround in sentiment. There has been a dramatic increase in the number of people inquiring about both eCommerce spaces and shared office spaces. It appears small businesses are seeing more hope for the future and are expecting an increase in consumer spending.
