Fintech start-ups are being invited to come and collaborate with Suncorp on new and innovative projects, as part of the launch of the Suncorp Digital Incubator Program, based at its Digital Labs in Brisbane.
Successful applicants will partner with Suncorp for a three-month program, which aims to bring innovative ideas in the fintech sector to life in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Sarah Harland, Chief Information Officer, said the program was an opportunity to combine ideas, technology and resources to create the next wave of digital financial customer services.
“The program will facilitate an exciting exchange of ideas. An innovative new wave of fintechs will be able to test and validate their ideas, learn from industry experts in banking and insurance and leverage Suncorp’s vast data capability to hone their business models, with the aim of ultimately deploying new solutions to provide value to Suncorp’s nine million customers across Australia and New Zealand,” Ms Harland said. “We are proud to be supporting the local fintech sector and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in Queensland.”
The program is now open for applications, with Suncorp to accept two start-ups into its first intake, commencing in June 2019. Each successful applicant will have a three-month period to partner with Suncorp to develop its idea.
The 90 day program will provide start-ups with access to mentors, designers, data/APIs and experts across a range of technology and business topics.
