As Hnry’s first Managing Director in Australia, Karan Anand’s role is to champion the brand in the Australian market, spearheading strategic growth, developing customer relationships, partnerships and driving the local team.
Karan has over 13 years experience in high-level financial services management consultancy, and prior to joining Hnry in 2021, dedicated a decade to Deloitte, exiting the business as a Director in Deloitte’s strategy consulting practice. Whilst at Deloitte, Karan founded a tech start-up and chaired both the Australia India Youth Dialogue and Young Sikh Professionals Network.
After experiencing first-hand the challenge of balancing multiple roles simultaneously, Karan identified the need to make self-employment easier for his fellow Australians. At Hnry, Karan drives the commitment to make financial admin and tax compliance easy, to ensure earning an independent income is simpler for all 1.5 million sole traders in Australia.
