Social app for neurodivergent people Wable set for international expansion

Just four months after its Australian launch, social networking app and wellness toolbox Wable has announced major plans to expand internationally after receiving unprecedented global demand.

The app targets to raise $1.5 million to fund the next phase of growth for the app which is expansion to the US, UK, NZ and Canada. Wable’s team of six – two female co-founders, one non-executive director, one non-executive chairman, a psychologist and a CTO/COO – has a waiting list of people from the global neurodivergent community eager for the app to be available in their country.

Specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals, Wable has helped thousands of users across the country make meaningful connections, as well as find love and friendship by offering a safe online space with added features that provide support in areas where many find the most difficulties.

With resources developed specifically for the neurodivergent community, Wable offers a Toolbox feature where users get to meet psychologist Phoebe Cummings as she presents a range of helpful video resources. All users have access to the toolbox, alongside other resources including a venue map for safe and sensory-friendly spaces and a jobs board showing vacancies at neurodivergent, inclusive workplaces.

Wable has been designed as a safe online space where users stay in control of how and when they choose to connect.

The app has already has won over many in the the Australian business community because of its positive impact in the country’s neurodivergent community.

“After seeing the huge impact Wable has had on the neurodivergent community, it is essential we roll out availability to the rest of the world,” Holly Fowler, CEO and Founder of Wable, said. “From the moment we launched in Australia, we have been getting messages from people in other countries asking when the app will be available to them.

“Because the app is uniquely tailored to, and has been designed in consultation with parents, psychologists and carers of neurodivergent people, the community have never had anything like this before,” Fowler added. “Many people with neurodivergent conditions find it difficult to make connections and often struggle with similar apps that help to find love and friendship, so Wable has been a lifeline.”

Fowler shared that he was inspired to create the app after watching the reality TV show, Love on the Spectrum, where he came to be aware of the challenges people on the spectrum came up against when looking to make connections. He then enlisted the help of capital markets specialist and Australian Stockbroking Hall of Famer Craig Mason to help secure the initial investment for the launch.

“We are now in the midst of our second capital raise as we fast track our global expansion, and we plan to be available in our target countries very soon,” Fowler concluded.
