Square Reader’s availability in Harvey Norman stores nationwide brings card payment technology solutions to Australian business owners.
Card payment technology provider Square has announced a new retail partnership with home and electronics retailer Harvey Norman. From 18 July, a unit of Square Reader sells for only $19 at 90 Harvey Norman stores across Australia.
Square Reader enables anyone to accept credit and debit card payments on their smartphone or tablet device. It has seen rapid adoption from sole traders and small business owners across Australia since its March launch. For only $19, the pocket-size Square Reader is the smallest, most mobile and most affordable card payment device available in Australia.
Australian businesses are increasingly enabling customers to pay for any transaction with their credit or debit card. Over 6.2 billion card payments were processed in Australia from 2014 to 2015, up 11% from previous years.
With more customers choosing card payments over cash, Square Reader gives sellers a simple way to accept credit and debit cards, while enjoying the benefits of Square’s other business tools such as online invoicing, a point-of-sale app, inventory management and real-time reporting.
