LinkedIn reveals its top Australian start-ups

The professional-oriented social network LinkedIn has recently released the 2018 LinkedIn Top Australian Startups list which, for the first time, ranks the most sought-after start-ups in the country.

The ranking is informed by the billions of actions taken by more than 575 million professionals on LinkedIn, revealing the 25 most-wanted start-ups by professionals.

Speaking on the list, Matt Tindale, Country Manager, LinkedIn Australia & New Zealand, said “The inaugural 2018 LinkedIn Top Startups Australia list surfaces the young Australian companies attracting attention and top talent whilst disrupting industries as they gather momentum.”

The 2018 Top 10 Australian Startups are the following:

  • Canva: a graphic-design tool website, founded in 2012, which is used by non-designers and professionals across the globe.
  • Expert360: an online marketplace which allows businesses to engage and manage top talent for short-midterm project-work.
  • Escient: specialises in helping its clients improve, extend and transform their businesses through enhancing organisational agility and effectiveness, harnessing digital disruption and providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Koala.com: Australia’s fastest-growing furniture company imbued with a mission to become the smartest way to buy high-quality furniture online.
  • Airtasker: a community platform that connects people who need to outsource tasks and find local services, with people who are looking to earn money and ready to work.
  • Prospa: an online small business lender and committed to helping small businesses access the funds they need to grow.
  • Versent: provides technology transformation services for enterprise clients.
  • Youfoodz: create an ever-changing menu of fresh meals, protein-packed snacks and cold-pressed juices that are delivered fresh to doorsteps and over 3,000+ stockists Australia-wide.
  • Assembly Payments: provide flexible payment solutions that enable marketplaces, platforms and banks to create extraordinary online payment experiences without limitations.
