GoDaddy, cloud platform for small businesses, has launched a Google My Business feature giving under-resourced small businesses the opportunity to expand their reach in Google searches, helping drive traffic to their websites.  Google My Business optimises the display of a local listing that appears in both Google and Google Maps search results, by creating a listing which includes the business name, address, phone number and website.

GoDaddy Website Builder provides users with a dashboard to create, edit and manage Google listings from one location. Once a listing is created, users will be notified when customers post reviews, allowing them to view and respond quickly, whilst displaying key insights about how the listing is performing. Responding to reviews will help to maximise a small business’s chances of increasing their reach and targeting key customers.

The new feature enables three key functions to be met for SME owners: to get found on Google, track website traffic and and respond to reviews, while also helping to generate more traffic. It aims to help to save SME owners time so they can spend more time performing revenue-generating activities.

The feature helps SMEs:

  • get found on Google
  • attract customers who are searching for your business on Google
  • appear in search results and Google Maps through your Google My Business local listing
  • create their listing, respond to reviews and manage their listing directly from their website dashboard
  • view how their Google My Business listing is performing across the following metrics: views, directions, site clicks and phone calls over time (7 days, 30 days, 6 months).
