Financial trading franchise now available for everyday Australians

When most people think of franchised businesses, they think of fast food and the hospitality sector, but a new opportunity is available for everyday Australians to have their own financial trading franchise.

Global company AGM Markets has introduced First Index to Australian shores, a bricks and mortar store that allows people to learn about the stock market and trade shares.

With plans to open 200 stores in Australian suburbs over the next three years, First Index will give clients access to over 3000 assets including shares, CFDs, Forex and cryptocurrency. Australian General Manager Cecilia Catanghal believes First Index will transform the trading industry and bring Australians a new way of buying, selling and investing.

“We are bringing a great opportunity to Australians to run their own successful trading business in local suburbs, and there’s strong potential for each franchise to turn over in excess of a million dollars annually,” Ms Catanghal said.

The first Australian franchisee will be Josh Butler, an electrician who will open a store this month. Already owning Laser Electrical Rowville, Josh said that First Index will allow him to diversify his business skills and share his personal interest in the stock market with others.

“I’ve always had an interest in trading and growing businesses so with First Index, I am able to combine my two passions. I have already grown my electrician business to a sustainable position which has allowed me to step back and oversee the business from a strategic level, giving me more time to focus on other things like trading,” said Butler.

First Index allows people like Butler to open their own trading business, something that has previously been out of reach due to the dominance of large financial companies. It also hopes to bring back customer service and people to an industry that has shifted online over the past thirty years and has the licence to allow trades of overseas shares and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Butler said First Index will provide customers with the opportunity to come in and experience the platform first hand, while receiving guidance from licensed and experienced traders face-to-face.

“The platform provides the means for users to develop and test strategies before entering the market, which instills confidence and familiarity; something that is invaluable to those new to the stock market,” Butler said.
