Beenleigh Artisan Distillery has been recognised at both state and national levels, taking top honours at the 2025 Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) Tourism Awards and the 2025 Australian Tourism Awards.
The dual win cements its position as one of Australia’s leading tourism experiences, recognised for its immersive visitor offering, heritage value and contribution to the industry.
Founded in 1884, Beenleigh Artisan Distillery is Australia’s oldest operating rum distillery. Located in Eagleby along the Albert River, the site has evolved into a key South East Queensland tourism destination.
Venue manager Ross Adams said the recognition reflected the team’s commitment to quality experiences.
“To be recognised not only in Queensland but across Australia reflects the passion, dedication and innovation that goes into every experience we offer,” he said.
“We are proud to showcase the rich heritage of distilling while creating something truly memorable for our visitors.”
The awards, supported by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council, highlight the strength of experience-led tourism in South East Queensland, where immersive destinations continue to attract domestic and interstate visitors.
The distillery said the win also reflects strong support from visitors and the local community.
