Hot on the heels of eBay’s announcement of its Guaranteed Delivery Program, courier service Sendle has launched a new parcel delivery guarantee suited to eBay’s rapidly growing community of eCommerce merchants.
Members of eBay’s Guaranteed Delivery Program can now take advantage of the service that promises a two-day delivery service to and from selected capital cities and regional centres, at no extra cost.
Shoppers are 45 per cent more likely to purchase if they have confidence the item will arrive within two-to-three days, according to recent research*, making this innovation highly relevant and timely for eBay merchants and the eCommerce sector.
James Chin Moody, CEO and Co-founder of Sendle, said, “eBay is Australia’s number one marketplace and we love its commitment to helping its diverse online community thrive. We have built Sendle’s Two-Day Delivery Guarantee to follow eBay’s lead in helping this important segment of the market provide a superior level of service to customers.
“With eBay accounting for about 50 per cent of online non-food retail in Australia, eBay sets the standard for eCommerce in Australia. Its innovative Guaranteed Delivery program improves the shopping experience for millions of online buyers around the country, and we are proud to support it,” Moody said.
David Ramadge, Senior Director, Product and Shipping, eBay Australia & New Zealand said, “We pride ourselves in taking a customer-first approach to business, and what our eCommerce merchants need most is to meet the growing expectations of Aussie online shoppers seeking fast, affordable, and convenient delivery. Sendle’s ongoing commitment to Aussie businesses is in line with our mission to keep our merchants on the cutting edge of the ever-changing eCommerce space.”
This offering follows the launch last September of Sendle’s free first send campaign and a free dashboard integration for eBay merchants, which is now used by thousands of eBay sellers to streamline order handling.
