Small businesses are generating as much as nine weeks a year in time savings and an average 8% increase in revenue from mobile technology, according to a study by Intuit.
For the Gen Y youngpreneurs who use mobile devices more extensively – five hours a day compared to three hours a day by other age groups- and for more activities – such as tracking and logging expenses, time-tracking and project management – that figure rose to 11 weeks a year. This group also saw the greatest revenue increase.
The study of 501 Australian small businesses also revealed that among the SMBs using mobile devices, there was an increase in productivity – 70% – and increased efficiency – 47% – and a faster response to customers – 52%.
