Adelaide Fresh Fruiterers has won the 2022 ‘’ Better Choice!’ Retailer of the Year and People’s Choice Award, as Australia’s best fresh produce retailers are celebrated.
Second place was bagged by Erbacher’s Fruit and Vegetables on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland while Victoria’s Arnolds Fruit and Veg in Wodonga came third nationally.
State winners include Trims Fresh, Merrylands in NSW and Spudshed, Midlands from Western Australia.
‘A Better Choice!’ is a joint initiative run by Fresh Markets Australia and the Central Markets Association of Australia. It encourages consumers to shop for fresh produce at their local independent fruit and vegetable retailers and supports more than 700 businesses across the country. More than 16,000 shoppers nominated 428 individual stores as their favourite fruit and veg shop this year.
“It’s great to see the industry come together to celebrate the hard work our retailers have done to continue to give people excellent quality fresh produce every day,” Callum Hann, ‘A better choice!’ ambassador and Master Chef winner, said.
