ASIC is looking for feedback

ASIC has launched an online survey to gather feedback on its services and engagement with the small-business sector.

‘Small businesses account for 96% of businesses registered with ASIC, so it’s important we understand the sector’s needs and expectations,’ said ASIC Commissioner Greg Tanzer.

‘This survey is about benchmarking our work over the last 18 months and further improving our services,’ he added. ‘It’s important we know that the services and resources we’re providing are what small businesses need.’

ASIC’s first small-business survey in late 2012 led to the formation of ASIC’s Small Business Engagement team, focused on strengthening relationships with business advisors and industry associations, and developing resources to help small businesses better understand their compliance obligations.

‘Every response to our survey will help inform our work, shape our priorities and improve our services. We’ll come back with our findings and details of the improvements we intend to make later this year,’ Mr Tanzer said.

The survey, available from 7 April to 26 May 2014, is anonymous and takes approximately five minutes.
