Small Business Fair coming to a location near you

support, council

Are you a small-business owner keen to grow but struggling to manage your time? Or perhaps you’re a sole trader thinking about launching your first business. The Australian Government’s Small Business Fair will be running at a range of locations during February and March and is a great opportunity to find out about the incentives and programs that take your business to the next level.

Hosted by the Department of Jobs and Small Business, the Fair will feature live demonstrations, key note speakers, presentations and practical advice from a business coach.

The Small Business Fair is a one-stop-shop where you can speak directly to locally-based Government agencies about simplifying taxes, using digital marketing and e-commerce tools, selling to Government and more.

Some of the topics you can explore at the fair include:

  • The financial incentives available to enhance your small business and find the right staff.
  • Tips on how to manage your cashflow.
  • Digital-marketing tools you can use to target new customers.
  • Easier ways to understand the Australian tax and superannuation systems and what offsets you can claim.
  • Learn how to better market your business to Government and other larger customers.
  • How you can benefit from Free Trade Agreements and expand your business to international markets.

Attending a Small Business Fair is free, and you can register for the events – that take place in the venues and on the dates that follow – via the government’s Department of Jobs and Small Business website at: www.jobs.gov.au/small-business-fair
