Exhibitions the new-age platform for SME networking

Australian Business Forum Events

The SME sector has proved to be a game-changer in the Australian economy, representing a staggering 98% of actively-trading businesses. The Australian government has been fostering this sector through international treaties, including the Free Trade Agreement between Australia and China, Japan and Korea which came into force in 2015.

While the SME sector is a booming arena, these businesses are often under-resourced and time-poor. With over 2000 registrations for B2BEXPO2016 in Melbourne and Sydney, Australian Business Forum – ABF – confirms that the main drivers for the SME sector are; seeking equity partners, looking for investors and exploring business opportunities overseas.

Other factors include developing trade channels through more distributors and suppliers, franchising and setting up offices in China.

Ongoing growth of the SME sector makes it vital for the management to position their business and assess potential opportunities correctly. To organise the diverse SME sector, B2BEXPO 2016 will include high profile feature zones including:

  • international trade zone
  • start-up street
  • IT matters
  • E-Commerce zone
  • business opportunities showcase
  • Government Pavilion
  • business learning zone
  • business services hub
  • financial services hub

B2BEXPO 2016 is supported by the Victorian and New South Wales governments and will connect SMEs with industry leaders from all sectors under one roof. With over 150 exhibitors showcasing at the event, there is a B2B seminar series that will teach the ‘tricks of the trade’ by filling knowledge gaps and touching on local and international business trends.

B2BEXPO 2016 will run in conjunction with Australia China Expo 2016 and China Digital Conference (CDC) 2016. CDC, in its fourth year will cover the key elements for developing online strategies for businesses looking to engage with the China digital sphere.

The keynote address for CDC will be delivered by the Hon. Philip Dalidakis, Minister for Small Business, Trade and Innovation from the Government of Victoria. B2BEXPO 2016, Australia China Expo and China Digital Conference are highly recommended for business owners, start-ups and enterprises looking to develop their business platforms in 2016.
