Merry Christmas!

Thank you for your readership and support this year – we will be publishing out first stories and newsletter of 2020 on Thursday 2 January, look forward to bringing you all your small business and start-up news, opinion and advice then.

The summer issue of our quarterly magazine, hits the shelves straight after the Christmas hols on 2 January, make sure you subscribe to or pick up your copy of the only small-business focused publication still in print. As we go into a new decade, at a time of rapid change, our focus in this issue is new technologies, so many of which are now affordable and straightforward to implement that they’re no longer beyond the reach of even the smallest business.

Here are a few highlights you’ll find in the January issue:

Five minutes with…

Alix O’Hara’s enterprise Mashblox is an ingenious yet straightforward invention that enables parents to get little kids trying they type of healthy

foods they usually turn their noses up at.

Low cost and low maintenance but high tech

Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality are just two of the technologies now well within the remit of even the smallest business – we investigate the tech that will power SME growth in the new decade.

Back to nature

We meet three small-business owners who use only natural products to create their artisanal wares. Savoury, sweet and thirst-slaking treats are all on offer as we talk to an organic provedore, a specialist in Sicilian pastries and a purveyor of biodynamic wines. I hope you enjoy the magazine, and please feel free to share any feedback you might have.

In the New Year I will be getting to work on our Top 50 Small Business Leaders report. We’ll let you know as soon as the report featuring Australia’s most inspiring start-up stories is available to download, as always at no charge!
