The countdown is on to the production and publication of the Inside Small Business Top 50 Small Business Leaders report. This year we have invited all our readers, contributors and the wider small-business community to nominate those they deem to be exceptional small business leaders.
If you aren’t already familiar with the report you can download last year’s here, free of charge, to get a feel for the inspiring and enlightening stories we feature every year.
So far we have had a great response, with nominations from a plethora of different industries and from all around the country. However, we want to ensure we capture the very best, most inspiring small business leaders for this year’s report, so we urge you to jump on and nominate those small business leaders you believe deserve recognition before the process closes tomorrow evening.
Who we’re looking for
As a reminder, we’re after nominations of those who are the founder / CEO or head of a business of between one and twenty employees – the business can operate in any sector, be it primary production through to hi-tech, and we welcome nominations for social enterprises and NFPs as well as established commercial entities and start-ups.
We are looking for Small Business Leaders who demonstrate excellence in the one or more of the following areas:
- Championing innovative thinking/technology/products/processes in the business.
- Committing to sharing their knowledge with the wider small business community.
- Overcoming significant challenges or setbacks to found and grow the business.
- Having a broader impact on the world around them through initiatives in sustainability, diversity or partnerships with charitable organisations.

26 February 2020 – Nominations close
27 February 2020 – Nominees will be contacted directly and asked to provide a submission for their entry
18 March 2020 – Judging will commence
20 May 2020 – Winners announced
